2 Homeless After Fire

A mother and daughter lost everything after a fire in the town of Clayton Tuesday morning. Firefighters from a dozen departments rushed to Old Town Springs Road at around 1:30 a.m. The debris was still burning yesterday afternoon.


Fire officials tell 7 News he believes the fire started in a basement wood stove, then moved through the home. No injuries were reported. Heavy equipment later tore down what remained of the home. Officials believe the family doesn't have insurance. The Red Cross is helping the family.
