Former New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver remains a free man this morning. This after a judge ruled that the disgraced politician doesn't have to start serving his time on corruption charges until after his appeal is heard this October.

Former New York Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and his son Adam may not be going to prison for a while. Yesterday, Reuters reported that a decision came from a Manhattan federal judge allowing the two to remain free on bail pending appeal because they aren't flight risks.
