A Lewis County man is accused of leaving his dog on the side of a road. Sheriff's deputies have charged 50-year-old John Arsenault of Newport with misdemeanor abandonment of an animal. He has also been ticketed by Lewis County Dog Control for allowing a dog to run at large.
