A Watertown woman is accused of overdosing on heroin in front of her nine-year-old child. Police say the 34-year-old woman overdosed on the drug at her Stone Street residence while waiting for her son to get off the bus last Thursday.

A Watertown man is accused of having heroin and crystal meth on him. Police have charged 35-year-old Timothy Fayette of Huntington Street with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Sheriff's deputies are now able to use a new tool in helping inmates addicted to heroin. It's called Vivitrol and it essentially helps stop the cravings addicts get when they are off of heroin and opiates.

A man being pulled over on Mill Street in Watertown late last week is accused of throwing heroin out of his vehicle. Police say 34-year-old Kentrell Barner of Clay tossed 18 envelopes containing the drug out of his car last Friday. Barner is also said to have had about $1,400 in cash on him.
