Fast food workers and state employees in New York are getting paid more.
The minimum wage for those two groups is now up to ten-dollars-and-50-cents in New York City and nine-75 for the rest of the state. Governor Cuomo through a wage board approved fast food workers and state workers getting an increase to 15-dollars an hour by 2018 in New York City and by 2021 in the rest of the state. Meanwhile, the minimum wage for all workers has also increased from eight-75 to nine dollars an hour.
