The long-abandoned old Berow and Monroe Building in Watertown will be sold to a local developer. City Council authorized the sale of the building located on Court Street to S&J Properties for $30,000 earlier this week.

The organization behind the purchase is fronted by businessman Steve Bradley, who told 7 News he would like to have the space converted into apartments as well as possibly a grocery store.

Bradley recently received about $500,000 through a grant as well as a loan through the Development Authority of the North Country to help fund the project.
