Cuomo not to touch money from troubled donors

Governor Andrew Cuomo isn't going to touch money donated to him by those named in a recent corruption suit.

A spokesman for Cuomo said given the serious nature of last week's allegations the contributions given by the defendants will be put aside in a separate account for law enforcement who might want to try to recover the funds, rather than return it to the donors.

The Times Union reports that the money in question totals nearly $70,000 since 2010.

Only donations from suspected companies and individuals that are under suspicion are to be affected, individual donations from employees of the companies will be left.
