Rare mid-October warmer weather led to some severe weather throughout the tri-country region last night.

Strong storms made their way through most of Jefferson County and certain portions of Lewis County at about 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service even sent out warnings that wind gusts could reach 70 miles per hour.

While the storms were strong they were mostly out of the area early on in the night.
