A massive makeover is coming to the airport in Syracuse.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the state will kick in $36 million of a $45 million expansion scheduled for Hancock International Airport.
A new facade, a museum dedicated to regional aviation history, a glass pedistrian bridge and what's described as an eco-friendly roof will all be added to the 55-year-old airport.
Onondaga County, the Syracuse Airport Authority and federal funds will help cover the rest of the expenses for the upgrade.
Cuomo says 869 construction jobs through the duration of the project.
