2 Dogs Killed In Fire

Fire departments responded to a fire in the Village of Carthage Friday morning.

Carthage Fire officials report that the fire on Parham Street was reported by a passerby, who saw smoke coming out under the eaves. Fire crews responded & knocked the fire down quickly. The cause of the fire was under investigation, it appeared to have started in the kitchen area, which was completely destroyed. Extensive heat and smoke damage was also reported throughout the house. Two dogs in the house died & The American Red Cross will be assisting those living in the house.
