A nap in a car led to charges of drunken driving for a Carthage man late last week.
Lewis County Sheriff's deputies say 46-year-old Donald Norton was found sleeping in his vehicle, which was off of Route 26 in the town of Denmark at about 2:40 Friday morning. Norton allegedly had a blood-alcohol content of .14 percent, and he subsequently was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Because of a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years, Norton's charge this time was upped to a felony.
