The firefighter who ran for City Council in Watertown has been given his old position back within the department.
Captain Todd DeMar came up short in his bid for council back in 2015, and during that campaign he was transfered out of Code Enforcement and given a night shift working at the fire station on Mill Street. But according to the Watertown Daily Times, DeMar is back in Codes, having been what city officials call "temporarily assigned."
DeMar, who plans to retire this coming January, is now responsible for about 130 inspections that need to be completed.
