An owner of a Watertown restaurant is speaking out about a town ordinance that bars him, and other establishments, from hanging electric signs outside.
Mike Cornell, owner of Mike's Pig Pen, was told he couldn't hang a small light-up sign in front of his eatery on Route 11. So he moved the sign away from the road and hung it directly above his front entrance. But town officials told him that was still a violation of codes. Cornell told 7 News that the town of Watertown needs to "embrace small businesses."
He and other owners were expected to be present at a town board meeting Thursday night.
