Police say a St. Lawrence County man stabbed someone under a bridge in Potsdam late last week.

Officers say 22-year-old Russell Snyder stabbed the man early Friday under Sandstone Drive bridge.

Snyder, who is from Potsdam, is facing second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon along with several other charges.

He was initally released after being arrested because a defense attorney wasn't able to represent him in court, so Snyder is next due before a judge at a later date.
