The National Weather Service is looking for a few good volunteers.
Officials with the organization will be in Lowville later on this month, hoping to train potential weather spotters. A free SKYWARN session is set to take place on May 24 at the Lewis County Search and Rescue building at 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service is in need of spotters, who are responsible for sending reports in via a special hot line or through amateur radio.
Anyone who is interested in becoming a weather spotter is recommended to visit weather.gov.
