With the next leader of Jefferson Community College ready to start later this summer, the current president will be stepping aside at the end of next month.
Officials announced Dr. Carole McCoy's final day with the school will be June 30. The next day, July 1, Dr. Ty Stone will start as the sixth president of JCC.
McCoy has served as leader of the college on Coffeen Street in Watertown since 2007, helping usher in new degree programs, the creation of the first on-campus dormitory and new learning center.
JCC plans to honor Dr. McCoy during a dinner at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton on June 1.
