Computer virus allegedly shut down Ogdensburg's City Hall for a couple of days

A virus reportedly took down computers inside Ogdensburg's City Hall, creating $25,000 in needed repairs.

The Watertown Daily Times reports that the situation occurred in "early spring." Ogdensburg's mayor declined to talk specifics, but did tell the Times that no information was stolen in the process. Although, business was halted for about two days as work was done to rectify the problem.

To help pay for the IT repairs, and for a separate issue within City Hall, officials decided a part-time cleaner position would be left vacant.
