Two members of Watertown's City Council have differing opinions about going forward with a state grant.

The money, about $150,000, is set to be used through a program which will help fix up so-called zombie homes, or abandoned properties.

According to the Watertown Daily Times, Councilman Cody Horbacz isn't in favor of moving forward with the grant, claiming the city would have to hire employees to work in the program and then either lay them off or pay to keep them after the grant money runs out.

Councilman Stephen Jennings, a propent of fixing up housing issues in the city, supports the program "100 percent."

The money was made available to Watertown last fall, with some of it reportedly already given out.
