Massena man faces up to 170 years in prison on federal child porn charges

A Massena man was convicted in federal court of using three children, including an infant, to make child pornography.

A federal court jury convicted 27-year-old Stacey LaPorte Jr. on four counts of conspiring to sexually assault a child, as well as sexually assaulting a child.

LaPorte Jr. sexually abused a baby girl from infancy to the age of two, filming the encouters. He also sexually abused a 12-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl, recording the acts as well.

LaPorte was previously charged with rape and sexual abuse in St. Lawrence County, and is now facing 15 to 170 years in federal prison when he is officially sentenced in October.
