An inmate at the Ogdensburg Correctional Facility head-butted a corrections officer earlier this month.
That's according to the state Correctional Officers nad Police Benevolent Association, which claims the incident happened on October 5.
WWNY 7 News reports the inmate, was "argumentative" when the corrections officer attempted to frisk him. That's when the 39-year-old convict head-butted the guard, who suffered scrapes and swelling but was able to subdue the inmate with the help of another officer.
The accused attacker was already serving time on a burglary conviction.
