A Lewis County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he called 911 to report an accident.
Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Garth Buck of Harrisville crashed his 2008 Chevy 2500 on Middle Branch Road in the town of Diana at about 1:15 Sunday morning.
Buck left the scene to call police and when he came back, deputies say they "detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath." Buck allegedly had a .14 blood-alcohol level and was charged with DWI, as well as failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent.
He is due back in Diana Town Court to answer to the charges at a later date.
