Officials: crumbling wall in Watertown not a threat to passing motorists

It looks worse than it is when it comes to an unstable concrete wall along a roadside in the city of Watertown.

Officials say the barricaded-off wall separating the Black River Parkway and Newell Street is not a safety risk for any passing vehicles. Some of the concrete broke away following heavy October rains, but the City Engineer told 7 News "it's not really an emergency situation."

Pedistrians are advised not to walk near the wall, which is scheduled to be repaired and replaced in the near future.
