A bomb threat created some tension in Franklin County earlier this week.
The threat led to county buildings in Malone to be evacuated at about 8:10 Tuesday morning.
According to the Watertown Daily Times, a male anonymous caller said there was a bomb in the Department of Social Services and in the "other building," which authorities believed was the county courhouse. Police investigated the situation and did not find any explosive devices.
After about an hour, both DSS and the courthouse were back in normal operation.
