If you have received a flier in the mail claiming you're a big $2-million winner, you might want to check the fine print.
The flier, according to the Watertown Daily Times, is being sent from something called Award Notification Commission. The mailer states, "I have been instructed to send this letter to you with an extremely exciting message: have you ever BEFORE won a lump-sum jackpot of $1.3 million?"
It turns out the so-called winner is asked to pay a fee of $12.99 to $15.99 and give up information in order to collect. The Times reports the company behind the mailer has received "multiple complaints about its mailings and practices."
If you receive a similar flier, you're instructed to contact the state's Attorney General.
