All bus drivers in New York are going to be able to give allergy medicine to children in emergency situations.

That's according to a new law that takes effect today, which will allow contracted drivers or those who work for a school to administer EpiPens or other emergency allergy remedies. It's seen as a potential live-saving measure for children having allergic reactions.
Lawmakers note that children allegeric to such things as foods and insect stings can suffer severe, even deadly reactions.
