In a wide-ranging speech, Governor Andrew Cuomo touched on a number of topics during the annual State of the State address Wednesday.
Among the proposals the Governor discussed included calling for the end of requiring bail for people charged with certain crimes. Cuomo said accepting cash bail for anyone charged with misdemeanors or non-violent felonies is unfair.
Further, Governor Cuomo also laid out plans to overhaul the state's sexual harassment policies, take guns away from people convicted of a domestic crime,
update election laws, and even build a brand-new arena downstate.
Cuomo is campaigning for his third term in office and is rumored to have eyes on a 2020 White House run.
