The Brownville bridge, which connects Route 12F (outer Coffeen) to the village, is over six-decades old and was last updated 34 years ago. And according to the Watertown Daily Times, its lifespan should have ended back in 2004.
That's the bad news, the good is that the Times reports the aging bridge still scores a respectable "sufficiency rating."
Still, officials from Highland Planning are set to talk with residents along Paddy Hill and throughout Main Street in Brownville, as options are being explored to either replace the bridge in its current location or potentially move it to help with traffic flow.
