State set to use grants to bump up internet access

More than $200 million in state grants are set to go to companies that provide internet across Central New York and North Country.

Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the next phase of the "New NY Broadband" program to give all New Yorkers access to high speed internet.
The governor's office says ninety-nine-point-nine percent of homes will have broadband access by the end of the year.
