Gov. Cuomo wants NY to crack down on discrimination in the business world

Governor Andrew Cuomo says he's preventing state entities from doing business with companies that tolerate discrimination.

State agencies and authorities are now banned from doing business that tolerate or promote discrimination. Cuomo said this includes sex, gender identity and national origin.
The governor also wants to prevent the use of a gay panic defense in court for those who attack someone after learning of the victim's gender or sexual orientation.
