Details on eight priests from the Diocese of Ogdensburg accused of sexual offenses against children are expected to be released today.
According to the Watertown Daily Times, the information will include "identities, histories and background information."
A law firm representing the victims is set to hold a news conference in Syracuse later this morning to reveal more information.
In total, 27 priests will be identified, eight from the north country and the rest from central New York.
Earlier this month, the Ogdensburg Diocese brought in outside help to run the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program for victims of the sexual abuse.
Some of the accusations against priests from this area date back to the 1940's.
