Flags at Watertown fire stations are at half-staff in honor of a Watertown firefighter who was a first responder to the World Trade Center site on 9/11 & has passed away at the age of 61.
David Lachenauer spent three decades with the department passed away from cancer Friday in what's being called a "line of duty" death. Watertown's Fire Chief Dale Herman told 7 News that the cancer is linked to his work on 9/11. Herman calls Lachenauer a dedicated firefighter and a good person. His funeral will be held Tuesday.
